Universal Xpansion
Reflections
The Cosmos, from the Greek word ‘Kosmos” meaning Order, finding inspiration for a puzzle-like collection of Cosmic Colours and Manic Energy that finds harmony and order.
The journey is both a Reflection of the Past and the Future, tying these two aspects Together in Unison.
“When do you know you’re done?"
It’s a question that proved more pertinent as time went on rather than the time it was first raised. Upon researching some information regarding Pablo Picasso, it became glaringly obvious to Picasso that it’s never done until its sold. So, he would continue to paint until the piece found a new home, to the point where some of his pieces are caked in paint.
And with this, like the big bang, the first piece of this universe is born, SuperNova.

SuperNova
The year was 2019 when the largest display of origami butterflies set a new Guinness World Record. But these butterflies had all kinds of rules in order for them to be verified for the count therefore thousands of black butterflies all in the same size were searching for a home.
2020 rolls around and the world shuts down, with so many Rules.
What’s an Artist to do other than Create Art with a whole bunch of Rules?
“Idols & Time” was released to a lukewarm reception - popular for prints however all the originals are still locked in the volt.
Break the Rules.
The original self-inflicted rule: Only use butterflies from the Guinness World Record. This proved to be nonsense because of how limiting it was. Taking the original image of Cat Woman and deconstructing it so that the movement takes precedent over the image. Break the blue up. Undo the red lips. Bust the black.
Et viola – SuperNova, a Powerful & Luminous Explosion of a Star that will, obviously, be the centre from the where the Universe will expand.
