Why
Origami on Perspex?
“Origami is my Paint… the Medium I use to Express my Creativity! And I Love the Way it Looks on Perspex, it Fits Seamlessly onto any Wall.” Says Juanne-Pierre De Abreu, aka JooJ.
Origami Butterflies are his preference, as it is the Only Origami Fold that Can be Collectivized in a way that Creates Something Magical, while the Circular Formations give a Feeling of Movement as it takes Shape or is in Flight.

Beyond the Butterflies
“My artwork is emotional in nature and takes a view of emotions being transcendent. It is neither mundane nor stagnant and I reflect this by relying on creating movement in my art.
I wanted to recreate the same mysticism I experience when staring into the centre of a campfire burning or watching fish swim around in an illuminated tank.
Challenging the mind to see beyond the butterflies.” he continues.
Simple yet mesmerizing! Pop Art is a huge motivator. Traditional Scottish folk illustrations. Along with shapes, squares, circles and triangles… Predominantly circles, Anime and Japanese culture have heavily influenced his creativity.
Then there are the some of the Greatest works ever made that need to be admired... and Re-Imagined.

Unadulterated Joy
“I want to keep my Art Childlike, so the effect on the viewer is Unadulterated Joy.” beams JooJ.
